A community located at the foothills of Thunupa volcano by the Uyuni Salar shore. It has an archeological site where you can see the Chullpares (Columbian necropolis of Aymara culture) where ancestors lived, exhibiting their tools and clothing. Its inhabitants are quinoa producers that now have organized to offer Community Tourism services. Saitoco is an Aymara community located at Thunupa’s foothills, by Thunupa Salar shores commonly known as Salar de Uyuni, this community counts with an archeological site of great interest, Charaly Citadel, where you will know the Chullpares (Pre columbian necropolis of Aymara culture) where ancestors of this community lived, tools and clothing, and even some mummies that have survived until today.

DAY 1 UYUNI-SAITOCO
We leave Uyuni in the morning, passing through the town of Colchani to visit the community museum and salt flame, cross the Salar to reach the community for a typical local lunch in Saitoco. In the afternoon to go to the shelter local guide will show us the process of growing quinoa after settling Charaly visit the citadel where the chullpares.Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 SAITOCO – ORURO
After breakfast we will Saitoco, where the community expects us to share their music and dance originating. We will continue our journey to Oruro we pass Jayocota community, where we have lunch and visit the crater that is within walking distance of the community. Reach the city of Oruro at sunset.

Day 1 Uyuni – Saitoco Community
We leave in the morning from Uyuni, cross the Salar to reach the Saitoco community for lunch. During the afternoon the local guide will show us the process of growing quinoa then visit Charaly Citadel where the chullpares. We continue our journey to Alcaya community, community arrive at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Saitoco – Alcaya Community
After breakfast, our local guide will accompany you on a walk through the plantations of quinoa and pastoral areas with flames in the community lunch before visiting the archaeological site where the local guide will explain the life of Chullpas, their ancestors. We learn about their history, know your tools and textiles. Dinner and stay overnight at the lodge Alcaya Community. At night we share to the local families how they organize their efforts so sustainable tourism and community solidarity.

Día 3 Alcaya – Oruro
After breakfast at Oruro, we pass Jayocota community, where we have lunch and visit the crater that is within walking distance of the community. Reach the city of Oruro at sunset.

Día 1 Salar de Uyuni – Comunidad Huanaque
In the morning we will be in Uyuni to begin our journey. First we visit the community museum in  Colchani. Cross the Salar de Uyuni, reaching Inca Huasi Island, where lunch and stroll to see ancient cactus. In the afternoon we will visit the community of Huanaque, near the border with Chile. We climb to the viewpoint of the community and visit the archaeological site. Dinner at the Mothers’ Club Community and we sleep in the Huanaque lodge.

Día 2 Comunidad Alcaya
After breakfast we say goodbye to our friends of Huanaque, to cross the Salar and heading back to the Alcaya community, northwest of the Salar. Lunch in the community, before visiting its archaeological site, where the local guide will explain the life of Chullpas, their ancestors. We learn about their history, know your tools and textiles. Dinner and stay overnight at the lodge Alcaya Community.

Día 3 Comunidad Saitoco
After breakfast we will visit Saitoco community, which is located at the foot of the Thunupa volcano, walk through the fields of quinoa and learn all about the growing process. Take the opportunity to learn as raising llamas and alpacas, another important resource for the community, after lunch visit Charaly Citadel where are the chullpares. Return to the lodge for dinner Alcaya Community and overnight.

Día 4 Cráter de Jayocota – Oruro
After breakfast we will visit Saitoco, where the community expects us to share their music and dance originating. We will continue our journey to Oruro we pass Jayocota community, where we have lunch and visit the crater that is within walking distance of the community. Reach the city of Oruro at sunset.

"SALARES Y CHULLPAS" - 5 DAYS/4 NIGHT

DAY 1: Salar de Uyuni- Alcaya COMMUNITY In the morning we will be in Uyuni to begin our journey. First visit the train cemetery, the remains of the industrialization of the region. Will tread the Salar de Uyuni from south to north, reach the Inca Huasi Island, where we have lunch and take a walk to see their ancient cactus. In the early afternoon we will travel to Alcaya community, located about 20 minutes from the small town of Salinas. Visit its archaeological site, the local guide will explain the life of Chullpas, the ancestors of the area. We observe how have settled there; know your tools and textiles. Dinner and stay overnight at the lodge Alcaya Community, a comfortable hostel with private bathrooms and hot water.

DAY 2: SAITOCO COMMUNITY After breakfast we head to Saitoco community, the local guide will show us the process of growing quinoa after lunch visit the citadel where are Charaly chullpares old. Alcaya return to the lodge for dinner. DAY 3: Alcaya – Rio Lauca Early in the morning we leave Alcaya community in order to cross the Altiplano at night until the Sajama National Park. Pass by the Salar de Coipasa and the enigmatic city of Sabaya up to the community where we will have a jerky Julo flame. Then, with our local guide Rio Lauca venture, stroll by the lagoon where flamingos come to rest. We will continue to visit the archaeological site where Chullpas colors, pre-Inca tombs of the twelfth century. We arrive at the hostel Tomarapi night, on the slopes of Nevado Sajama, where dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: SAJAMA NATIONAL PARK This day we will work to understand the cultural and natural wealth of Sajama National Park. From the hostel Tomarapi community, where we can enjoy all the comforts of modernity and talents of chefs and guide the people, know the colonial church and queñuas forest. In the afternoon we venture between geysers and enjoy a dip in the hot springs. We have dinner and spend the night in Tomarapi.

DAY 5: SAJAMA – LA PAZ CITY In the morning walk through the wetlands where local families raise llamas and alpacas. After lunch we say goodbye to Tomarapi to leave La Paz. On the way, stop at Curahuara of Carangas to visit the colonial church, known as the “Sistine Chapel” of the Altiplano. We arrive at the city of La Paz.
